Details of a Secret Provence

The heat at this height of summer wipes the words clean off my tongue. I let them go and let my eyes express what my mind cannot. Here in my Secret Provence

How fluid. How solid. How insubstantial yet lasting.
Have a wonderful week everyone. We are away from home so I may not be responding to your wonderful comments as much as usual but please know that they are very much appreciated, as always.

  4. Kay, I have no idea how to take good photos with a phone! More power to you… 🙂

  5. Leave it to you to see it. If I had pulled back a little more you would have seen the whole person!

  6. Edgar, he was close by in Aix and the surrounding region, which is about a 45 minute drive from us but the topography is absolutely the same.

  7. Exactly the kind of pictures I took when there last year. (Mine were on a phone, though.) Ahhhh. Thank you so much for the reminder. I'm bookmarking this one!

  8. You teach me more and more about how to look so that I see. Milles mercis, et bonne sejour! Leslie in Portland, Oregon

  9. Your eyes 'express' great beauty 🙂 It is nice for the brain to have a rest sometimes and let the other senses do some extra work. Gallivanta

  13. I love your secret Provence. Some photos remind me of some parts of Valletta. I'd love to wander around those streets. Some of those buildings have seen better times but the patina of age makes them more beautiful.

  14. Delightful doorways and windows into your world… and a beautiful world it is.

  15. You make everything seem so beautiful, Heather. Hope the boys are doing well…you & Remi too. xx's

  16. The shadows and the slightly out of focus #26 are my favorites. A photo essay I want to return to again and again. Merci beaucoup!

  17. Sometimes there are no words. Gorgeous, Heather. I love how the textures and colors of the buildings almost look like and abstract painting. So pretty.
Counting the days… 7 to go! XO
