We took our old Saab for a ride today–yes, think “Sideways”.
Am I crazy? I found the bubbles beautiful…

Bon-weekend à toutes et à tous…

  1. Thank you so much Leslie. I swear that looking for beauty in small things is what gets me through the winter months!

  2. You can have the bubbles, though I do see why they are attractive. What gets to me is the shapes they make on the dash. So if you're crazy, that makes two of us.

  3. One of our Most favor(u)rite things to Do when on a paternal weekend visit was go to the carwash and Thrill to the large brushes Zooming down the tracks and Covering the car with bubbles and then the Torrential Rainstorm aa the final rinse……..ah. Your pictures brought back memories. The trusty steed of silver prius is still very clean from its "detailing" before we picked him up.

    But soon……..soon……..

  4. I have a question for you on the weekend do you look at your laptop?Just wondering…………..the bubbles are bellisima!

  5. Stay warm! And yes, I have missed out on a lot lately when I was being lazy about bringing along my camera and am trying to learn from my mistakes!
    Bisous…

  6. The soapy bubbles do make beautiful designs. I've often thought so too! Although I can't go through the car wash without remembering that my daughter, who is now 20, as a little one was absolutely terrified when we would go through the carwash! I often look at it and wonder what as a toddler would have been so scary? Maybe those big metal arms with hairy things attached, coming over and descending on the car, like a giant spider! Cheers, Deborah from Melbourne.

  7. You are NOT crazy. That is a lesson in noticing the beauty in simple everyday happenings!!

  8. You know….. a friend of mine says that the best camera is the one you have with you. Lesson learned here, my friend. Love the bubbles! Bon-weekend (from the land of frigid cold and harsh wind.)

  9. I love the carwash bubbles, too. In fact, I've thought of making an art quilt using them as part of the design.
