Le grand départ, deux

I will finish off this week with the last of Sunday’s photos before it is too late. I can see Mars waving his flag at me furiously from his perch on the tour de la Marie. “Time is fleeting, Heather!” he shouts with no uncertain wonder. The clock is most definitely ticking as summer swans along winsomely but unwelcome, at least in my household where autumn is honored as the most beautiful season of all. Let the light scribble to me in code, I can read it like a map…and know where we are headed…

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Wishing you at least one giggle fit and and a good surprise, wherever you are…

  1. The blue of that sky, the red of that bicycle. Our front door is blue, but not that blue that one sees in your region and in Morocco too. A photo of a blue boat taken in Essaouira is headed your way under separate cover.

  2. You've captured the autumn in this one. The soft sun light easing us into the starkness of winter helps somehow doesn't it. You've put such beauty on the season that here we refer to as 'football season' 😉
    Enjoy~

  3. Bon weekend Heather et gros bisous!
    P.S. It's so crisp this morning, I'm wearing a hoodie 🙂

  4. My 2 best gals are coming over for dinner & drinkies tonight so giggles will definitely be on the menu 😉

A wonderful weekend to you, Heather!

  5. What beautiful colors and textures! I hope there is relief from the heat, too. Sending you lots of love and wishing you were here for a cookout!

  6. The autumn light has a peculiar amber slant wherein angels hide.

I feel I have found a kindred spirit in you, Heather.

  7. Your photos are sublime. I love that you can read the light. It's amazing all the secrets we can discover if we only took the time to observe our surroundings. Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

  8. Hello Heather:
These are indeed a visual treat with which to start the weekend and, as always, you have the ability of capturing the most unusual aspects of your subjects and creating from them works of art. For such these are.

We thought to choose a favourite, but find it impossible.

Windows here remain flung wide, but the nights draw in and the air each morning has an autumnal feel. Wonderful!!

    Kellemes hétvégét.
