I know
you’ll say
with a pat of
a reassuring hand
“It will come again,
It will.
There will be another.”
And while
you mean well
and I even believe you
this morning
my skin
is longing
to be touched
and lightly,
my lips
to be brushed
with a kiss, sweet
and my eyes
to be held
in a gaze beyond
fondness, stirring
shared.
Allow me this.
For I am open
but missing,
not “him”
more than
another
for
a deep breath
of love’s burning
smoke.

It used to be. 😉
Beautifully written and read.
Thank you for the poem, thank you for the recording, thank you for sharing.
A very moving poem. You have a beautiful voice Heather, almost English, which surprised me. I guess you have lived abroad for so long that it's now more of an international accent.
very very moving for us the lonely hearts. And your voice so clear, so concentrated and moving too brought me more near you
Did you write this beautiful poem? I was so taken by your voice earlier that only now as I played it for my husband it occurred to me that there is no credit.
I got goose bumps listening to your recording…you have a very strong voice and you read this poem with such emotion…perfect pitch, one cannot be unmoved by the words.
XO
Allowing you! I know you even better now, through your beautiful voice. Thank you for telling out loud exactly what is also in my heart, not just on this heart day. With my recent challenges I'm feeling this oh so much. I understand!
More please!
Cheers,

Brilliant soundcloud. I echo the comments above … a voice that should be heard.
