I threw out ninety percent of the photos that I had carefully prepared for this post and replaced them with those that I took yesterday evening.

The light in that third image is amazing – beautiful capture, Heather!
The yellow and orange colors look like portals to an extraordinary experience where one leaves a heart or consumes a heart.
The lovely scenes climb slowly like the ivy as the sun fades and stars will not be secrets anymore.
So beautiful, I would love to move somewhere like that one day. I keep saying "France!" to hubs, we'd still be in the EU, fine health care wise ( that's what scares us about the US) but I doubt he'd ever pick up the language, not his forte.
"Falling in love with Crillon le Brave," of course. And I, too, am mesmerized by those photos — the oranges and yellows in particular.
Yes, Heather….we went there twice, which happens sometimes when your husband get your asses lost and everyone has to double back….

Michel! Of course! I should have remembered that this is not far away from you at all…And do go, by all means, it is so lovely. There are quite a few restaurant options for such a small village–I will be posting about that next (although I haven't tried anything beyond a refreshing Perrier Menthe at the café :).

I have been switching back and forth between your last post and this one, and, with each switch, I am entranced by the difference in the light from afternoon to evening. Both so beautiful. I am definitely leaving the gate open. I am waiting for the light of sunrise or the light of the night sky, which surely must be the deepest of dark blue, sparkled with shimmering twinkles of starlight.
Nature offers the best…this light is amazing as your pics are and it was worth to go back again. MLsmile….

Heather, beautiful pictures. Hate to admit it, but we have driven through Crillon le Brave several times to and from Bedoin but we have never stopped to visit the village. Seeing your pictures makes me realize we have missed out. We will try to correct this oversight during the next two weeks. Have a great day.

Surprisingly enough, I've been to Crillon le Brave twice (the name always makes me think of some aging, troubador-era warrior, as played by Mel Gibson or Gerard Depardieu). It's lovely, of course. Are you and Mister Britches thinking of moving there? I hope you bear in mind that you won't have garbage trucks, squabbling neighbors, traffic, or feral cat-fights to wake you up every fifteen minutes. If you're not careful, you could end up sleeping eight hours in a row each night…..
