1) What is right with the world?
We are all linked, inextricably connected. And we want the same things: health, shelter, nourishment and well-being for ourselves, friends and family.
2) What is wrong with the world?
That we tend to forget this every day.
I have no lessons to give but after much thinking, this is the response that felt true to me based on my own experience in having travelled far and wide.
These two questions were the theme for this month’s “By Invitation Only” post. To discover the other responses, please click here.

Your responses strike a chord in my own heart, dear Heather. I'm vowing to try harder to remember the first one.
Heather, so poignantly put in a few words. Lets vow to make all right with the world in any way we can!

Thank you dear friends. I am so grateful for you both.
Worlds within worlds, absolutely. But that doesn't change our connection or responsibility to that connection does it?
Me too, Jeanne. And I can tell you with all certainty that cherry jam got me through a very tough transition here in France. The power of the little should never be underestimated.
Good question, Amelia!
Hello Heather:
How deliciously simple and yet, how such small acts of kindness, thoughtfulness, gratitude and love can evade us. We can all make a difference and, together, that difference would be astonishing. Most importantly, we must not feel powerless to make our voices heard.
Having read through some of your recent posts, we are touched by their beauty. In capturing stunning images, in stripping bare ideas to their core and in comforting our souls with your uplifting spirit, you make the world a richer and more beautiful place. May all your dreams for 2013 come true…..
Brilliant, concisely answer to a tough theme. Of course, you can make an endless list what is good or bad but there is nothing more to say about because it is up to us how the world is and everybody can also create his own little world.
I love reading the "By Invitation Only" posts from everyone! They are always great and inspiring! This was beautiful!
Perfectly thought provokingly simple….
