Hello everyone! I would like to start off by thanking all of you for your kindness regarding my last post and also for those of you that were so supportive about yesterday’s guest post at Tish Jett’s amazing blog, A Femme d’un Certain Age. For those of you that missed it, you can see it here.
Now, most of you might know that I avoid covering our markets in Arles like the plague even if they are some of the very finest in Provence. It is just too cliché! And I do try from falling into those traps but just like the allure of lavender, there are elements that are too beautiful to be denied. So a little mutiny against my own overly controlling captain. This morning as I strolled with my Sister through the market, the light absolutely caressed the veggies, bounced off the freshly baked loaves of pain and lit up the honey like stained glass.

I've obviously been far toooo busy as I have missed all these wonderful posts – when I stand in front of the garlic in Woolworths I will have a whole different image in my head in future!! cheers!!!
Ah, this made me laugh! He is always, always around. It is true! Just look at my most recent post. I would probably put him in all of them if I thought I could get away with it…

I'm so glad you went to your market because it reminded me I needed to go to ours but it doesn't look nearly as wonderful as this. Dylan and I just got back from getting fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and fresh made bread…we have a meal!

Your photos are making me ache for our summer holiday in Provence, which we had to forgo this year. I can smell that special mix of roasted chicken and overscented soaps found at the market in Bonnieux 🙂 I'm making soupe au pistou for dinner tonight to try to capture some southern sunshine.
